Celtis developed out of a shared passion for Irish traditional music typified by a combination of reels, jigs and hornpipes, a music tradition that can be traced back to the seventeenth century. As well as the Irish traditional standards, Celtis also perform Scottish and Breton pieces and more contemporary arrangements by bands such as Flook and Capercaillie and a number of their own compositions.
